“Servant of God well done, rest from thy love employ, the battles fought, and the victory won, enter thy Master’s joy”

Everett “Tank” Collins was born December 24, 1937 in Waycross, GA to the late James and Christine Collins. He is preceded in death by five siblings, Myrtle Collins, Evelyn Johnson, Noah Collins, Jake Collins, and James Collins.
He received his education in the Waycross Public School System of Ware County, Georgia and joined the United States Air Force in 1957 for four years, he then entered the United States Army where he fought in the Vietnam War and served 23 years of dedicated service to our country. After retirement from the Armed Forces he was employed with the Veteran’s Medical Center of Indianapolis for 20 years. His retirement years were filled with love for his family, golfing, attending air shows, the Indy 500, flying planes, and enjoying life to the fullest

“Sleep on our beloved brother, take your rest. We all love you dearly but God loves you best”

    Everett,
I still remember our long talks about decisions I should make in my life as I got older. You treated me just like I was one of your own children. I always looked at you like a 2nd father. Which is why Jonathan and Sean are my little brothers and will always be. I am sorry that I didn’t make it over to see you for awhile but I did think about you a lot. I will miss you lots and you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
